Hosted by the Western Business Roundtable and NextGen Energy Council, the Capitol Hill CleanTech Expo '09 brought the "game-changing" clean technologies of companies in the energy, environmental and manufacturing sectors right to decision-makers on the Capitol Hill. The Expo showcased the technologies and innovations of some 26 different companies. To see a full list of the Expo Sponsor & Exhibitor companies, please click here.

The CleanTech Expo '09 hosted representatives from 109 Congressional offices from 40 different states, as well as representatives from dozens of companies, trade associations, media outlets and Congressional and governmental offices.

Additional highlights of the Capitol Hill CleanTech Expo '09 include:

  • CleanTech TV - CleanTech Expo '09 was broadcast live via video and audio to tens of thousands of Americans live on the internet by CleanTech TV. To access the recorded interviews Members of Congress and the leaders of the CleanTech Expo companies, go to www.cleantechtv.us.
     
  • U.S. Congressional Western Caucus Meeting - Top-tier Expo Sponsors attended the U.S. Congressional Western Caucus monthly meeting on July 16, where they interacted with key Western Members oand discussed issues of importance to their companies and operations. 
     
  • CleanTech Investment Roundtable - The lunch session featured an interactive panel discussion about the latest trends and issues in the burgeoning clean tech investment arena. Panelists included representatives from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, Capital Alpha Partners, Raytheon and Bracewell & Guiliani. The one hour session was broadcast live via CleanTech TV. You can view the recorded Investment Roundtable session by clicking here.
     
  • "Taste of the West" Reception - This popular event drew a huge crowd with it's Western-style cuisine, including Rocky Mountain oysters. The event was a smashing success, with more than 300 people in attendance.
     
  • Congressional Briefing - On Friday, we hosted a webinar highlighting the diverse, game-changing clean technologies and innovations of Molycorp Minerals, FMC Corporation, Raytheon and Peabody Energy.  
     
  • CleanTech Intelligence Magazine - As part of our ongoing efforts around the Capitol Hill CleanTech Expo '09, the Western Business Roundtable will be launching an electronic magazine in mid-late September.  The innagural issue will feature CleanTech Expo companies, their leaders and their technologies.  If you'd like to receive a copy of our first issue, please contact Michelle Hindmarch at mhindmarch@westernroundtable.com.�
